    'FUN' Sweepstakes Overview

Welcome to the North American Lionhead Rabbit Club's FUN Sweepstakes Program. NALRC has put together a voluntary fun sweepstakes competition for those that wish to participate. Club members must send in their information in order for points to be counted. All varieties on current CODs are eligible to compete.

THE 'FUN' SWEEPSTAKES YEAR BEGAN ON JANUARY 1, 2013 AND ENDED ON JANUARY 31, 2014.

EFFECTIVE 2-1-2014, THE CURRENT 'FUN' SWEEPSTAKES PROGRAM WAS REPLACED WITH NALRC'S OFFICIAL SYSTEM OF SANCTIONING ARBA SHOWS FOR THE PURPOSE OF CALCULATING SWEEPSTAKES POINTS. Please see our NEW 2014 Official Sweepstakes Rules for details on the new system.

Click here for the complete 'FUN' SWEEPSTAKES PROGRAM RULES (expired 1-31-14) Those participating have 90 days from the date of the show to get their show reports in for shows held prior to 1-31-14.

    Sweepstakes Rules Revised 4-20-12

Due the increasing number of comment cards with missing or incorrect information, the Sweepstakes committee has discussed the many issues and recommended to the NALRC Board two revisions.  These changes passed unanimously.  Please check rules #11 and#12.  The rule changes take effect April 20, 2012. Our Sweeps Counter, Tammy, will be accepting Exhibitor After Show Reports instead of comment cards to calculate points earned. Please note these changes and send complete Show Report copies in order for your points to be counted.

11  Changed  It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to send a copy of the official Exhibitor After-Show Report for the show at which they want the points counted.  Send to the Lionhead Sweepstakes Counter. In the instance where a show secretary does not send out exhibitor show reports, the NALRC sweepstakes counter will accept comment cards that are completely filled in.
12  Changed  Exhibitor After-Show Reports must be postmarked within 60 days of the date of the show. Copies of the completed show reports must be received in the mail so that a hard copy can be retained for one year.

For complete rules, please see our FUN Sweepstakes Rules (contest ended 1-31-4).

It is our goal to provide support to the members who choose to exhibit their Lionheads, as well as provide additional recognition and a fun competition.

Since Lionheads were not a recognized breed until 2-1-14, there was no way for us to offer a sanctioning program for our breed within the ARBA show framework. This means our fun sweepstakes program was dependent on having the exhibitors mail the Sweepstakes Counter copies of their remark cards or a printout of the show report showing Lionhead breed and variety wins.

In the FUN Sweepstakes, we counted points using only the following types of wins:
Quality: Best of Breed (BOB) and Best Opposite Sex(BOS) wins.
Variety: Best of Variety (BOV) and Best Opposite Sex of Variety(BOSV) wins.

Because we could not sanction the Lionhead breed with local clubs we could not get complete show reports for the breed from the ALL local clubs. This means that the fun sweepstakes program is not based on numbers exhibited at a show in the Breed or Varieties and we do not count class points.

The fun Sweepstakes recognized our members in a number of categories in addition to our Overall Standings for BOB and BOS wins in both Open and Youth. We also had Colors and District Divisions for all COD varieties in both Open and Youth.

We will continue to offer our members a place to have photos of their Lionheads that have won points displayed. Photos can be sent to the club and we will post them so everyone can see what type the judges are selecting around the country. Email photos of winning Lionheads in .jpg format to Webmaster.
